Win or lose ------ I just want effort. And the hope I don't have to listen to the Boston Bruins announcers which are very hard to listen to.

Nope --- Jack Edwards for me....and for all the Flyer fans that live outside the city and subscribe to NHL center ice....

No one should complain at all, regardless of the score, we "outsiders" go thru all kinds of issues and pain to watch our flyers.

So be happy you don't have to listen to Jack Edwards!

Morning boys. Our fourth line went from a strength to a weakness faster than you can say Kirill Ustimenko.

Have fun at the game today Scoob.

Any reason why Morin didn’t play last night? God forbid he got called up and the Flyers go with an even younger d. There liable to get passed by one of the 4 teams below them in the standings.

Honestly, i don't understand the Leier scratch at all.

It is mind boggling.

Perhaps he see the two anchors as his VDV and Bellemare.

Lehtera and weise are so useless.

There is a gaping hole at LW in the lineup. Raffl-Laughton-leier was a fine line. Hopefully lindblom is making progress in the A.

How can you not understand the scratching of Leier?? I mean for crissakes, he's only a 4th year pro and it's just shocking how few fans can't seem to realize all the valuable things he can learn by sitting in the Cote suite and watching the highly trained professionals that are the Philadelphia Flyers perform on the ice. Leier is a child, he's not even 25 yet. The coach knows exactly what he's doing and by the time Leier is 30, he will be fully trained and prepared for his 4th line role.

The idea that any kid should be in the lineup over a veteran stalwart like Dale Weise is simply a false narrative. It should be apparent to anyone that any success achieved by this team is directly due to the coaching prowess of Dave Hakstol and that any failure falls square and solely on the shoulders of these highly paid professionals on the ice.

Carsen Twarynski making noise in the WHL of late. Overager LW prospect, 32 points in 24, 4 goals 1 apple in last 2 games. Hoping he at least signs and joins Lehigh Valley next year. Flyers have until June to sign him from what I read.

Be careful when judging overagers and their output in Junior. Their numbers often tend to be inflated simply because they are men playing against boys. That being said, Twarynski is certainly a solid prospect and I'd be surprised if the Flyers didn't offer him a contract and a shot to play for the Phantoms next year.

If Rubtsov continues to play wing, between him, Lindblom, Ratcliffe and possibly guys like Marody and Martel, their lack of punch at LW may soon be a thing of the past.

The real problem is that Hakstol, and to a lesser extent Hextall, just aren't able to grasp that the fans are the true experts. They have the pulse of the team and the players and are far more qualified to make these decisions. There should be an online portal for fans to weigh in and vote on who should be in the lineup. Maybe then, the obvious optimal lineup will be used, and this team can finally start heading in the right direction.

I forgive you for the omissions of Laczynski (who's lighting it up), Strome, Bunnaman and Sushko. All have a chance.

Wade Allison is a nice winger prospect too but projects the right side.

I am shocked, utterly shocked, that you feel this way. The fans know nothing, absolutely nothing and they should stop wasting time questioning the decisions of highly paid professionals like Ron Hextall and Dave Hakstol.

The “only” problem is the truth. This team is in a rebuild. The GM will not do anything to help this years team because it may interfere with the growth plan. The coach’s results can suck, but as Hextall has said it’s about the growth of a young team and the GM has hitched his ride to Hakstol and his ability for player development.

For sure, I was just throwing a few names out there. I think the Flyers will be fine at D and on the wing for years to come, though one true pure sniper on the wing would be nice. The key is finding a #1 goalie, though Hart is looking more and more like that guy every day and one more really good center to complement Couturier and Patrick in the top 9. Right now, with the way he's lighting things up as an 18 year old, Morgan Frost may be that guy.
